For your prime viewing pleasure is this beautiful very well cared for vintage Gibson ES-125T thinline archtop hollowbody guitar in gorgeous sunburst finish. This guitar has an internal stamp of T7290 25 inside which dates it to 1958. The "T" is difficult to see unless you use a UV black light, but is very apparent when a UV light is used and the pic is taken with a UV light on it. It has Centralab potentiometers which were used during this time. The butterbean buttons have been replaced with correct new ones as they tend to break and crumble by time they're 66 years old. It's otherwise completely original with exception of the lower pickguard screw, which was replaced with an of the era screw, and is in great condition with light play wear and beautiful, very light checking in the finish. This is the 24 3/4" scale model sporting maple top, back, and sides along with a mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard. All of the wood is just absolutely gorgeous on this guitar. The medium C-shaped neck profile is super comfy to play and it has a 1-11/16" nut width with a 12" radius on the fingerboard. The single Gibson P90 pickup in the neck position makes this hollow body beauty great for a variety of genres with one volume and tone control to dial in your sound, and this particular P90 is one of the really good ones. The original rosewood bridge with nickel trapeze tailpiece are in great condition with lovely patina. The back of the headstock is stamped with a 2 denoting it is a factory second. Gibson would do this if there was a tiny flaw somewhere, usually hard to even find when new, and by this age all of them have some sort of tiny flaws rendering it impossible and irrelevant to even tell the difference or know what it was. This guitar is an inspiring player, built during Gibson's golden era. It plays with very comfortable action, tunes up with ease, and sounds great. There's a reason these ES-125's were so popular and once you play this extra nice example you'll see why. If you've been looking for one of these, you'd be hard pressed to find a better sounding or looking example, especially at this price range. Seize the moment because it won't last long. Enjoy!
