For your viewing pleasure is this vintage Silvertone Model 1446 from the 1960s, better known as the Chris Isaak model. These were the flagship model for Silvertone guitars. It's single cutaway, hollow all-maple body is paired with a mahogany "C" profile neck with a 9.5" radius bound rosewood fretboard as well as a rosewood bridge. What set the 1446 apart from other Silvertones was the high quality components. There is the factory installed Bigsby B3 bridge and tailpiece as well as Seth Lover designed, Gibson made mini-humbuckers with their distinct bezeled shape, unique pointed pickup rings, and split pole pieces. They give a rich and vibrant sound and are wired with a three-way pickup switch and volume & tone knobs for each pickup which function without issue. It has a sleek black finish with contrasting white pickguard, knobs, and diamond switch plate. The pickguard and logo are new replacements and we slightly aged the pickguard to be a less stark white. The guitar has a new set of strings and is a joy to play. The 1960s frets are original and definitely have some wear but ring clearly across all the strings up to around the 15th fret where the high E and B get slightly pinched sounding. While it doesn't need a refret at the moment, getting one would have it playing like new. This was a well played guitar for a reason and shows signs of use from being someone's favorite guitar. Now it can be yours too. Comes with a non-original hardshell case. Enjoy!
