Strong bells and heavy tapers make for maximum versatility; and partially unlathed top sides help with articulation and clarity. The typical Foundation cymbal has a bell that would be found on a medium to medium heavy cymbal, and a taper that would typically be on a medium-thin cymbal. This is a great series for drummers that desire more range out of their cymbals, and need a cymbal that translates incredibly well live. These weigh in at 1012 grams on top and 1190 grams on bottom.
