For your extreme viewing pleasure is this incredible vintage Ludwig & Ludwig No. 22 Standard 5x14 All-Around Model snare drum from 1928. This stunning rarely seen antique solid 1 ply walnut shell drum is all original down to the tension rods and clips. It has an original calf skin batter head and WFL 100% transparent Imperial brand slunk skin head on the snare side. The original hoops, clips, and tension rods have all aged beautifully. The pendulum snare strainer, introduced this same year, is in good condition and operates smoothly with the 12 strand silk-wire snares. The interior looks great with beautiful maple rings and is stamped "BLACK" indicating its factory finish. Bearing edges are true and original. The exterior has acquired a few marks in its nearly century long life and there appears to be a couple spots were it was lovingly retouched. This snare would equally be at home amongst the finest of collections, studios, or stages. Enjoy!
