For your viewing pleasure is this great sounding vintage Ludwig 4x15 Universal 6-lug snare drum from the 1920s. This is made with the same coveted heavy, two-piece nickel over brass shell with welded back edges used on the Black Beauty and Professional models in the 20s. It's in great overall condition for a drum that is a century old. All of the tension rods and clips are original, as are the hoops with "Universal" stamped top hoop. The shell is in round and in great condition. The original strainer works smoothly, one changed screw on the butt. Original silk-wire snares are in overall great condition as well. The drum tunes up easily and sounds excellent! The legendary sound of a Ludwig heavy 2 piece shell at a fraction of the price. Enjoy!
