For your kind consideration is this vintage Ludwig No. 668 adjustable bass drum muffler. This double felt model was first shown in the 1935 catalog when they added a thumb screw for pressure control allowing drummers to adjust the amount of muffling on their drumhead. This is an early version with the original patent number on the end of the hoop clamp and no Ludwig logo. Both felts are there and in excellent condition, with one of the plates being slightly bent. There is modest wear on the metal parts throughout expected from being nearly 90 years old. Great addition to any vintage drum collection and would look terrific on your 20s or 30s Ludwig bass drum.
