For your viewing pleasure is this vintage Ludwig 14x14 Downbeat floor tom in lovely Sky Blue Pear from the mid-1960s. This drum is in very clean, well taken care of condition and the wrap is beautiful with a flat, tight seam. The 3-ply shell has a clean white interior. The keystone badge is nice and tight with serial number 324XXX dating it to 1966. The original chrome over brass hoops have aged well with a slight bend on bottom hoop which does not affect the tuning or sound in any way and is almost not even worth mentioning. It's all original aside from the heads, including the white felt baseball bat muffler which operates smoothly. There are no extra holes or modifications and the bearing edges are true and original. Most importantly, it tunes up easily and sounds fantastic. This would make a great addition to your '60s Ludwig outfit. Enjoy!
