1960-1962 Ludwig 4x14 Downbeat Snare Drum Oyster Blue Pearl Pre-Serial Keystone Badge
Condition: Vintage
For your supreme viewing pleasure is this vintage Ludwig 4x14 Downbeat snare drum dating from 1960-62. It's in fantastic condition and still retains the original wires which look and sound great. The pre-serial Keystone badge is nice and tight. There are no extra holes or modifications. There was one tiny missing piece of wrap just above where the top of the throw-off makes contact with the shell that has been expertly fixed with a perfect matching sliver of era correct oyster blue pearl, you'd have to know it was there to see it. The original chrome over brass hoops look great with some normal signs of wear here and there. Most importantly, this fine instrument tunes up with the greatest of ease and sounds simply amazing. This drum would equally be at home amongst the finest of collections, studios, or stages. Enjoy!
