The original Ludwig wires look and sound great. The original P-83 strainer and baseball bat muffler are in great shape and both operate smoothly. The Burgundy Sparkle wrap is in beautiful well taken care of condition with one small nick, and the vibrant color is still nice and dark. There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind. The keystone badge is nice and tight, with serial # 284XXX dating this drum to 1966. All of the chrome is in good condition. The bearing edges are true and original, and the drum tunes up easily and sounds magnificent. These snares are a joy to own and play. If you've been looking for this snare to complete your set, you'd be very hard pressed to find a nicer original example. Enjoy!
