1966 Slingerland Drum Set Green Satin Flame 22/13/16/Artist 5.5x14 Snare
1966 Slingerland Drum Set Green Satin Flame 22/13/16/Artist 5.5x14 Snare
Condition:
For your viewing pleasure is this beautiful January 1966 Slingerland Gene Krupa outfit in green satin flame pearl with optional 22" bass drum (the grand majority of these GK No.1n outfits came with 20" bass drums). This set is all original with exception of replacement Remo heads. There are no extra holes or modifications. As is typical of this era of Slingerlands, there are a few small cosmetic splits in an area of the interior ply of the bass and snare shell. This is common place on these due to the aging process and thinness of the inner ply. It does not affect the stability or integrity of the drum in any way. The shells are all in round with original and true edges. Remo heads fit well and they tune up easily. The rare green satin flame wrap has some moderate wear typical of satin flame wraps, and there is a circular scratch and ding around the L arm bracket on the bass drum. The beautiful maple interior 3 ply shells have "JAN 1966" date stamps. This set is a real looker and is just as mesmerizing to play as it is to gaze upon. Enjoy!
