1970s North Drums Nexus Drum Set Blue 6/8/10/12/14/22 *Video Demo*

For your prime viewing pleasure is this absolutely unique North Nexus drum set from the 1970s. These were a major step away from traditional drums with their horn-loaded shape designed by drummer and structural engineer Roger North. This design gives North drums a directional projection that maintains the clarity and depth of the tone, especially the top end, for a well balanced sound at a distance instead of the omnidirectional acoustical effect of a traditional drum. You can hear it as soon as you sit down with these drums. They've got the volume and projection you'd expect but the clarity of tone translates so well out front. The set is in overall great condition and the original straddle tom stand is included and is fully functional. The blue "Foto-Finish" exterior coating has minimal wear aside from some scratches primarily on the top of the bass drum, and the interiors are clean. The chrome on the hoops and lugs is in great condition with minimal aging. There is one small hole visible on the inside of the 12" drum which is covered up by the mount and not visible from the exterior. The bearing edges on these molded shells tend to have some chips throughout, mostly on the 8", 10", and 12" on this set (as shown in pics) which don't seem to have an audible effect on the sound as can be heard in the video demo. This set tunes up with the greatest of ease with modern Evans heads currently on them and sounds powerful, clear, and thunderous. Truly a unique set of drums that are a joy to play.
