1970s Slingerland 6.5x10 Modified Snare Drum Blue Sparkle
1970s Slingerland 6.5x10 Modified Snare Drum Blue Sparkle
Condition: Vintage
For your kind consideration is this one of a kind vintage Slingerland 6.5x10 snare drum from the late 1970s. This was custom built for a Chicago-based Slingerland endorsee who was close with some of the builders at the factory. It's made from a converted 5-ply tom shell that was cut down to a 6-1/2" depth. The holes from the original mount are still present and end at the inside edge of the bearing edge as shown which does not prevent the head from making contact. The bottom Stick Saver hoop was cut to accommodate the wires. It has a Slapshot strainer installed that functions properly with wire gut snares that are individually adjustable. One wire is loose and will need adjusting. Most importantly, this drum sounds super cool and tunes up perfectly. Add this unique drum to your collection today. Enjoy!
