For your viewing pleasure is this great vintage 1960s Ludwig keystone bass drum in blue sparkle. It is in good overall condition and presents itself very well. There are some light surface scratches and scuffs here and there, including some hard to see light surface marks behind the Keystone badge that resemble finger nail impressions. The chrome is in overall great shape, and would shine up even nicer with some chrome polish. The seams are tight. There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind. As seen in the pic, there is an area of the resonant side bearing edge that should have received some wood putty before leaving the factory, but did not (it is not from damage, age, or abuse). This is something that we've seen fairly often during this busy production time for Ludwig, and it does not impact the tone or tuning of the drum. It tunes up wonderfully and sounds great in all different tuning ranges. The keystone badge looks great, six digit serial # 376XXX. If you have a blue sparkle Down Beat set that somebody modified with a center post mount on the bass drum, today's your lucky day! Enjoy!
