For your viewing pleasure is this great sounding 1920s 5x15 Ludwig Universal 6-lug snare drum made with the same coveted heavy two piece nickel over brass shell and welded back edges that the Black Beauties and Professional models of the 1920s were made with. It's in very good overall condition for a drum that is about a century old. All of the tension rods and clips are original, as are the hoops. The top hoop is stamped with the "Universal" stamp. The shell is in round and in great condition. The original strainer works smoothly, one changed screw on the adjuster. Original wires are overall in good condition. The drum tunes up easily and sounds excellent! The legendary sound of a Ludwig heavy 2 piece shell at a fraction of the price. Enjoy!
