For your viewing pleasure is this vintage Ludwig 5.5x14 Super Classic snare drum in Blue Sparkle. This early '60s drum has a pre-serial keystone badge and internal date stamp of MAY 19 1961 on the clean white interior. The wrap is in terrific condition with only very few light surface marks. The original nickel over brass triple flanged hoops and lugs are in excellent condition with minimal aging. The WFL P-87 throw-off operates smoothly and looks great, as does the matching WFL butt plate. The muffler operates smoothly. There are no extra holes or modifications and the bearing edges are true and original. It tunes up well with modern heads and the original 18 strand wires still sound great. This would be a proud addition to any snare collection. Enjoy!
