The original Ludwig wires look and sound great. The original P-83 strainer and white baseball bat muffler are in great shape and both operate smoothly. The Silver Sparkle wrap is in superb, well cared for condition, and there are no extra holes or modifications of any kind. The keystone badge is nice and tight, with serial number 172XXX dating it to 1965. The ink stamp is smudged on the year, but reads AUG 2 1965. All of the chrome on the steel hoops is in great condition with a just a touch of pitting on the lugs. The bearing edges are true and original, and the drum tunes up easily and sounds magnificent. These snares are a true joy to own and play.
