For your extreme viewing pleasure is this Ludwig No. 914 6.5x15 School Festival snare drum in White Marine Pearl. This pre-serial number beauty queen is date stamped DEC 23 1961 inside and is in beautiful condition. It's all original aside from modern heads which fit great. The seldomly seen 15"x6.5" size delivers all the extra breadth one could desire from a larger vintage shell. The 16 lugs and triple flanged chrome over brass hoops with drop gate are in great condition with minimal aging. The pre-serial Keystone badge is nice and tight, and the wrap looks majestic. The previous owner was meticulous, and lovingly touched up a few spot in the white interior, and put a thin line of clear coat over the internal date stamp to preserve it. There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind. This is an incredible snare that's ready to be the centerpiece of any fine collection or studio. Enjoy!
