For your viewing pleasure is this excellent 1960 Ludwig 5x14 Pioneer snare drum in Blue/Silver Duco finish, sporting a blue and brass Trans badge. This drum is in overall excellent condition with no extra holes or modifications of any kind. Aside from the heads and wires, it's all original down to the brass hoops. It is worth noting that many of these Duco finished drums have checking/crazing to the finish from aging, which this drum has a moderate amount. Internal date stamp of OCT 4 1960. The original P-83 strainer looks great and operates smoothly. The nickel hardware and brass hoops look good and will polish up beautifully. The edges are original and true. Most importantly, this drum tunes up like a dream and is a joy to play. Enjoy!
