For your viewing pleasure is this excellent example of a 1962-63 5"x14" Ludwig Super 400 chrome over brass Supraphonic snare drum. It features a pre-serial # Keystone badge, nice chrome-over-brass hoops, red felt baseball bat muffler, crimped snare bed, heavy brass shell, visible vertical seam in shell, original Ludwig wires, nice P-83 strainer & butt & earlier heavy imperial lugs. The rims have some honest play wear as can be seen in the pics, there is a tiny spot of rust on the arm of the strainer in an area that you cant's see, the lugs have some light pitting here and there, & there are a few light surface scratches here & there on the shell, but it displays wonderfully overall. All tension rods and washers are original. This drum still has the original Ludwig Weather Master head on the bottom and and a coated Remo control sound with tons of life on the top. There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind. It is a special instrument & is pure sonic bliss to play!
