For your supreme viewing pleasure is this fantastic Noble & Cooley steam bent solid maple shell snare drum. It's date stamped 1989 along with production number 3,337. As you may know, Phil Collins used a 4x14 Noble & Cooley snare on most of his hits in the '80s. Aside from the heads, it is 100% original down to the N&C snare wires. The shell is in great cosmetic condition with no dings or scratches. The bearing edges and shell construction are a thing a beauty. The chrome plating on the die cast hoops is in great condition with a mirror shine. The brass plating on the lugs and throw off has worn a little which is very common. To my understanding, if you send the parts into N.&C. they will re-plate them for a fee if so desired. Most importantly, it sounds incredible! Tone, sensitivity, and a woody crack that can't be beat. This snare would be equally at home amongst the finest of collections, studios, or stages. Enjoy!
