For your supreme viewing pleasure is this gorgeous and original example of a Slingerland Radio King outfit in original and stunning Aqua Blue Sparkle glass glitter. The unique, short lived dog tag style badge dates this drum to the mid 1950s. Most of these Radio King sets are white marine pearl, so it is exciting to have this beauty queen in Aqua Blue. The spur mount was bumped at some point and a professional repair was made with original wrap, one of the spurs and mounts were changed. This does not affect the integrity, sound, or tuning of the drum and is not visible when set up. No other mods! All of the hoops are original. As one might assume, it sounds incredible and has that classic Radio King vibe. Most importantly, this set tunes up wonderfully and is an absolute pleasure to play.
The snare is the original that was purchased with the set in the 1950s and is a 5.5x14 Super Gene Krupa Radio King snare drum. The Aqua Blue Sparkle glass glitter is stunning. Aside from the heads, this beauty is all original down to the hoops, muffler, lugs, tension rods, clamshell strainer, and wires. The solid single ply shell is in-round and fits modern heads nicely.
