1970s Slingerland 5x14 No. 132 Gene Krupa Sound King Snare Drum 10-Lug COB
Condition: Vintage
For your kind consideration is this vintage Slingerland Gene Krupa Sound King snare drum from the 1970s. These drums get our vote for being the most underrated power house vintage snare drums on the planet. They have amazing heavy brass shells which have a wonderfully warm yet commanding sonic signature. Overall the chrome on this drum is in good condition with some small pitting on the shell. The Zoomatic strainer works smoothly. There are no extra holes or modifications. The factory chrome over brass hoops are in fair condition with some pitting and light flaking. The drum is all original aside from the heads and wires. The original tone control looks good and is fully functional. The black and silver oval badge looks great and is nice and tight, serial # 260XXX. All of the tension rods and washers are original and look great. Most importantly, this drum sounds amazing and tunes up perfectly. Enjoy!
