This majestic Ludwig & Ludwig antiquity is quite a sight to behold. It has weathered the sands of time elegantly, with an internal ink stamp of "39 07" dating it's manufacturing to July of 1939, it's about to have a 76th birthday! There is also an additional string of black ink #'s stamped below the "39 07" which may be a serial # or a sold date. With the exception of the heads, it retains all of the original parts down to he tension rods & wires. Not only are all parts original, they're in remarkably clean & fully functional shape. The elaborate pass-through strainer system works exactly as designed & all parts move smoothly. The original tone control looks great & is fully functional. The original rims are in round & look great. As can be seen in the pics, the nickel hardware gleams & presents wonderfully. The original Ludwig & Ludwig badge is gorgeous & tightly affixed with original grommet. This drum was available in both 5" & 6.5" depths - this drum is of the beefier 6.5"x14" variety. Enjoy!
