For your viewing pleasure is this excellent example of the classic 1960's Gretch 5.5"x14" round badge Name Band snare drum in gorgeous original broken glass glitter blue sparkle. This drum has been very well cared for & displays beautifully with only a light surface scratch in the panel to the left of the badge & a light mar above & to the left of the badge. The original tone control looks good & is fully functional. The original Micro-sensitive strainer is fully functional & looks nice. The chrome looks good with only some micro-pin-point pitting here & there. This drum has no extra holes or modifications. The bearing edges are true & original. The badge is nice & tight with a beautiful patina. The interior looks great with original silver sealer paint & paper tag (model # 4157 serial # 541xx). Other than some nice Remo Ambassadors & new correct style 42 strand replacement wires, this drum is all original. Best of all, it tunes up like a champ & sounds absolutely wonderful (unfortunately, that's not something that can be said for all wooden Gretch snares of the era), & the Micro-sensitive is able to throw the wires completely off with no rattle when played. This baby is ready for the studio, stage or collection, enjoy!
