For your kind consideration is this vintage 1960s Maestro FZ-1A Fuzz-Tone pedal. It's has some well-earned wear on the metal chassis and one replaced rubber foot. The original Fuzz Tone was introduced in 1962 and was designed to mimic brass and string instrument tones. Look up the "Maestro Fuzz-Tone FZ-1 Demonstration Record 1962" on YouTube if you want a fun dose nostalgia. The people making that recording couldn't have imagined how Keith Richards would change the sound of rock n roll when The Rolling Stones released Satisfaction featuring the original FZ-1 in 1965. A few years later Maestro introduced the FZ-1A that we have here. This revision used 2N2614 transistors and was powered by a single 1.5-volt battery. This one with serial number 38966 was made in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1968. It still has its stock 2N2614 transistors as shown and the original Gibson knobs. If you can't get no satisfaction from your fuzz pedal, this authentic 60s Fuzz-Tone is sure to please. Enjoy!
