For your kind consideration is this vintage Boss CE-1 Chorus Ensemble and Vibrato pedal made in Japan in the late 70s. It's in very good cosmetic condition with wear on the paint as shown and it is also missing its four original feet. Original released in 1976, the CE-1 came just one year after Boss's parent company Roland released their legendary JC-120 Jazz Chorus amplifier. The CE-1 gave the player the added advantage of playing the thick, multidimensional chorus through any amp of their choosing in either mono or going for full spatial delight using two amps in stereo. Serial number of 853230 dates this pedal to August of 1979 and it has the earlier MN3002 bucket brigade chip. It has been fully tested and sounds fantastic. The two footswitches allow you to turn the effect on and off or switch between vibrato and chorus effects. There are also controls for level, chorus intensity, and two knobs for vibrato depth and rate. This early effects pedal uses a hardwired AC power cord and this one was upgraded to a 3-prong plug. It's truly the circuit that inspired decades of pedal makers to this day. See for yourself why there have been so many reproductions of this famous pedal and pickup an original today. Enjoy!
