For your kind consideration is this extremely rare vintage Kay Jim Smoak signature model banjo. It's in overall great condition with a few bumps and dings. These beginner banjos were released in the 1970s by the same New York-based company that published his Jim Smoak's tablature books and similar models were released under various stencil brands like Alex, Encore, and Conqueror. They were all made in Japan and feature a mahogany double bound resonator, an aluminum rim/pot, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard. It tunes up well and is a good playing instrument. One of the brackets is missing the nut to tension the head and the upper strap button is no longer present. There is an extra bridge in the pocket of the original case which is included. Enjoy!
