This is a great sounding 1979/80 6.5x14 Ludwig LM402 Supraphonic snare drum. It displays pitting/flaking, as many of the '60s and '70s Supras do. There are no extra holes or modifications. It has original Ludwig wires, and an original Ludwig resonant side head. The top hoop is ever so slightly out of round, but it does not affect the tone or ability to tune. The muffler pad is a little off center. This drum tunes up wonderfully and sounds just like you'd dream it would. If you've been searching for a vintage 6.5" Supra for the sound, and are not concerned with it being a beauty queen, this is the snare for you. The microphones in the recording studios or clubs will not be able to tell it isn't in mint condition. Enjoy!
