For your viewing pleasure is this beautiful artisan built 4x13 oak stave shell snare drum. It's in well cared for condition and sounds killer! Oak drums are known for their superior projection with a sound that's a perfect balance of both high and low end frequencies. The stave design allows the wood’s natural tone to more easily come through and naturally gives the drum a shorter sustain with a more focused, articulate sound compared to ply drums. This drum's shell measures more exactly to 12-5/8" in diameter so you will see that the rods angle out a bit. It is 1/2" thick and has a 45 degree bearing edge with a 45 degree counter-cut and features a Gibraltar SC-PTO piccolo strainer, gold triple flange hoops, 8 chrome double-sided lugs. Most importantly it tunes up with the greatest of ease and sounds unbelievable. Enjoy!
