The medium weight stands feature a disappearing boom that allows it to be easily converted to a straight stand with a heat-treated steel wing bolt that eliminates slippage of the boom arm. It's missing the memory lock on the boom arm but is otherwise fully functional. These stands are balanced, super sturdy, and reliable. Enjoy!
